Most roofing warranties offered in the market today are “limited lifetime” warranties that cover the shingles only and prorate after 10 years. For peace of mind for our customers, RoofTek® has achieved the highest level of installer certifications with 2 of the largest shingle manufacturers in North America (Owens Corning and GAF). This allows us to offer up to a 50 year non-prorated warranty that covers labor, materials, tear off, and disposal on the entire roofing system, which is actually registered with the manufacturer. In addition, workmanship warranties start at 2 years and can go up to 25 years of workmanship coverage
Typically our team can inspect, measure, and generate an estimate on a roof within 30-40 minutes. We understand that everyone’s time is valuable, so we try to get the estimate ready as quickly as possible without missing any important details.

Install time depends on the size of home, number of old shingles and pitch. Most roofs are completed, start to finish, in one day.
No, we do not do framing.
Supplementing involves a detailed review of an insurance estimate and internal inspection report to ensure everything is accounted for. Insurance adjusters are very busy and occasionally overlook some items or enter something differently than current industry standards. In the event discrepancies are found a supplement for those items is submitted to the insurance company.
- Supplementing can generally occur at 3 different times during the course of your project.
- Before any repairs are started a detailed review is completed and if needed, a supplement is submitted to the insurance company.
- While the repairs are being completed, a discrepancy is found by the project manager.
- After the repairs are completed, another thorough review of the job is completed and if any further discrepancies are found, they are submitted to the insurance company.
Generally the supplementing process takes 1-3 weeks to come to a revised settlement with the insurance company.
It is helpful if you call the adjuster or the insurance company and give them verbal authorization to speak with us and work directly with them. This can speed up the process a little bit. Some insurance companies require verbal authorization from you to share any information with the contractors directly.
In most cases, a project can move forwards while we work on coming to a settlement with the insurance company. If there are major discrepancies the project will be put on hold while we work on coming to a settlement with the insurance company. In these cases the project is put on hold generally because we will need to meet with the insurance company onsite and discuss the scope of repairs needed.
In most cases we just absorb the cost of the items not covered by the insurance company currently. There are some situations in which you will have to pay for supplements if they are not covered by the insurance company. The most common situation in which that occurs are relating to the roof decking and gutters.
We do not complete a thorough review of a job until we have a signed contract. The reason for that is to protect ourselves and you from having unexpected costs. If discrepancies are found our contract states those additional funds will be paid to RoofTek®.
The most common items are related to current building codes and installation requirements.
Depending on the membrane thickness, will determine how long the material warranty will be, usually 15 to 20 years on the material warranty. Here at RoofTek® we like to get you 2 to 3 additional years of life out of the roof with basic service and repair and roof maintenance.
Utah building code says that you can go up to 2 layers at any given time. It makes a lot more sense in the flat roofing world to do an overlay. No reason to remove the roof top insulation until you absolutely have to.
Typically you want to budget around 5% – 8% of whatever the roof value would be to include in yearly roof maintenance.
